Thanks for joining us at the K12Powerplant! We know you have options when it comes to inspiring your Nutrition Services team and we’re grateful you’ve found us.

Jason Wange

Motivational Speaker and Trainer

With an incredible story of overcoming the odds, Jason’s authenticity and desire to offer others the same tools that have affected his life have made him a natural favorite for teams needing motivation through passion and positivity. Jason is also a managing partner at Desert Peak Marketing, a foodservice equipment and supplies agency based out of Denver. He has been selling commercial foodservice equipment and working with his school districts for 11 years. Prior to his career in foodservice, Jason was a Social Studies teacher for 7 years working with high school and middle school students. He also spent one year as an Instructional Coach, working with teachers to improve their pedagogy.

Shannon Solomon

Foodservice Director at Aurora Public Schools

Shannon is the passionate Foodservice Director at Aurora Public Schools in Aurora, Colorado.  She and her team serve 41,000 meals daily.  You might recognize her from her time representing Lunch Ladies and Lads across the globe on the Food Network Show “Chopped” where she made it to the “Entree Round” and was honored with a trip to the White House kitchen.  Shannon is the proud mother of 5 children and one beautiful grandson.  Shannon is a powerhouse of positivity with a voice and spirit guaranteed to inspire and encourage your team to serve their schools incredible food, and so much more.

Jason and Shannon both live under the premise that, “to he (or she) whom much has been given, much is expected.” After having been given much in terms of community and tools which helped them both overcome what at times were overwhelming challenges in their lives, they are choosing to give much in an effort to create positive change affect the lives of their peers and colleagues.

The K12 Powerplant is a vision built from Jason and Shannon’s stories as well as many of the concepts presented in Jack Canfield’s The Success Principles which demonstrate that truly successful lives are defined by both vision for one’s life (a vision big enough to give goosebumps) and the tools necessary to create those dreams.

Want to have your team inspired and trained to be a K12 Powerplant?
